Product Description

Carbon Steel Sheet

Main application of hot rolled coil/strip:

Hot-rolled coil/strip stands as a vital steel product, perfectly embodying the demands of industrial advancement. Celebrated for its superior attributes, including exceptional strength, remarkable toughness, and ease of processing, this versatile material shines in its weldability. Its applications are vast and significant, finding its place in diverse sectors such as shipbuilding, automobile manufacturing, bridges, construction, machinery, and pressure vessels.

Carbon Steel Manufacturing Process

The smelting of carbon steel is expertly carried out in converters and open hearths. Typically, converters are dedicated to smelting ordinary carbon steel, whereas open furnaces are designed for all kinds of high-quality steel. The rapidly advancing technology of the oxygen top blow converter is poised to replace the open hearth furnace. Once the steel is refined to perfection, it is artfully injected into molds to form diverse ingots. These ingots, through forging or rolling, are transformed into plates, strips, bars, and sections of various intricate shapes.

Processing & Customization

Steel Coil Processing

Efficiently cut large coils into smaller, manageable sizes:

For steel coils, we expertly cut one large coil into smaller coils, perfect for seaport loading. This is crucial for container shipping as each container typically cannot exceed 26 tons. Since large coils often weigh 28 tons, splitting them ensures safety and ease of handling by forklifts (usually 7-10 ton capacity).

Transform open flat coils into premium steel plates:

We expertly flatten the coils and cut them into plates to the exact sizes required. To optimize loading into 20-foot containers, we cut lengths under 5800mm. Post-cutting, we can apply black paint on the plate surfaces for superior anti-rust protection.
